Mastercard Foundation in partnership with the African Leadership Academy (ALA) is pleased to announce that 20 of Africa’s youngest and brightest entrepreneurs will join the Anzisha Fellowship–a lifelong affiliation that will help accelerate their path to entrepreneurship success.  On Tuesday, October 23, these 20 finalists will compete for the Anzisha Prize, Africa’s premier award for her youngest entrepreneurs. Thousands of letters written by youth from across Southern Africa urging the president to attend the World Alliance of Religions for Peace (WARP) Summit in Seoul, South Korea where DPCW will be discussed as solution to achieving peace are expected to be delivered at various Presidents’ offices this week. The Neighbourhood is a new store run by Choices for Youth, which provides programs and services for homeless youth. Chelsey MacNeil, Choices' director of social enterprise, says the store's goal is to provide affordable clothing for families. Grand opening Saturday "We've got kids' clothes, baby clothes, we've got anything that you are looking for — long-sleeve sweaters, pants, skirts, you name it, we probably have it." The fast-food chain hopes to put to work some of the 64 million young people, 16 to 24 years old, who International Labour Organization says are currently unemployed. The initiative is aimed at removing barriers to employment for 2 million younger workers globally by 2025.
